Service Before Self

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Service Before Self. That’s one of three Air Force core values instilled in new recruits from their first day of basic training. Each time I put on the uniform, the airmen I encounter remind me that Service Before Self is alive and well in the United States military. Thank God for that.

Last week, I was honored to receive the endorsement of SEAL PAC, the largest and most impactful conservative, pro-veteran political action committee in the United States. SEAL PAC is committed to helping more veterans get elected to Congress, where the number of Representatives with military experience is near historic lows. You can read about the endorsement here.

This week, my father, Col Willard Dellicker (Ret.), will honor veterans by participating in the Wreaths Across America ceremony in Allentown. My nephew, Ensign Nolan Hernandez, will continue planning for his upcoming naval flight training in Pensacola, Florida. And my son, Sergeant Will Dellicker, will prepare for his pending overseas deployment with the Army National Guard. Including my 28 years in the military, the Dellicker men have 80 years of consecutive service among us, dating back to my grandfather, Maj Willard Dellicker (Ret.), who flew P-38’s in the Army Air Force during World War II.

This week also launches our series of holiday charity events to benefit four outstanding local organizations that epitomize Service Before Self.
