Protect our Children Online

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Yesterday, Lehigh County District Attorney James Martin warned parents and teachers that child pornography is circulating among local schools. Graphic sexual content is pervasive and easily accessible to our children. We must stop this dangerous assault on our children’s hearts and minds.

As part of my cybersecurity duties at Dellicker Strategies, I deliver educational seminars to schools about how to protect children online. The discussion almost always turns to Internet pornography.

Make no mistake. If your children have smartphones or personal computers, they are vulnerable to encountering graphic sexual content online, if they haven’t seen it already.

In Congress, I will support a national age-verification system that prevents children from accessing Internet pornography. People will tell you it can’t be done, or that it’s against the First Amendment.

That’s nonsense. Pornographers can figure out ways to keep children off their websites, and free speech does not include abusing children, which is what exposure of minors to sexual images does.

Our stance must be clear: No more access to Internet pornography by children.

Sincerely,

Kevin Dellicker Signature
