Peace Through Strength
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Last Sunday, our son Will was called to active duty for an extended military deployment to the Horn of Africa. Along with hundreds of other soldiers from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Sergeant Dellicker will be defending American interests in this tumultuous region of the world.
Meanwhile, U.S. forces overseas keep getting attacked. Since Hamas raided Israel, terrorists have targeted U.S. troops in the region more than 100 times, injuring at least three American soldiers.
I want to go to Congress to restore America’s military deterrence. President Ronald Reagan called it “Peace through Strength.” It’s the only thing that can defend us against terrorists, communists, dictators, and thugs, and it’s the best way to keep us out of needless foreign wars.
In fact, I have a simple test for American military involvement. Is it worth sending my own son into harm’s way? If the answer is no, then I won’t vote to send your sons or daughters either.
I’ve served my country 28 years as an infantryman, intelligence officer, and squadron commander. I’ve deployed to the combat zone four different times. I’m a graduate of Air War College with a master’s degree in military operations.
I don’t seek your support because I’m a veteran. I seek your support because in Washington, I’ll be one of the most experienced Members of Congress in military affairs and national security. I’ll lead the charge to rebuild our military, reform our intelligence agencies, counter China, and secure the border.
No other candidate for PA-07 has any military experience to counter the threats we face. This election isn’t a popularity contest. I’m not running for student council. I’m running to keep us out of war.
Will’s obligation to the Army ended last October, but he decided to extend his enlistment through the deployment because he didn’t want to leave his fellow soldiers behind.
We owe it to Will, and all his brothers and sisters in arms, to give them what they need to fight and win our nation’s wars. We must never put them in harm’s way without a clear and achievable mission. And we must always bring them home quickly when the job is done.
Keep America Free.
