Happy Thanksgiving!
We are entering the Christmas season, a time for fellowship, good cheer, and gratitude for the abundant blessings we all share. I truly hope you get to relax and enjoy some quality time with friends and family.
Our campaign won’t slow down during the holidays, and we’ll keep talking about our plans for safe communities, good jobs, and strong families. But while people are in the Christmas Spirit, we want to remind everyone what public service is all about- helping our neighbors, especially those in need.
This December, the Dellicker for Congress campaign will host a series of charity fundraising receptions for three special organizations that are helping our neighbors across Pennsylvania’s 7th District every day.
The Allentown Rescue Mission is a faith-based non-profit that is rescuing, rehabilitating, and restoring homeless men. Our campaign will be collecting bed linens, t-shirts, and personal care items for their clients at a holiday meet-and-greet at Korny’s Tavern in Coplay on Thursday, Dec. 14th from 6-8 PM.
The Victory House of Lehigh Valley is a Bethlehem-based charity that provides homeless veterans with mental health care, transitional housing, and recovery assistance. We’ll be collecting bedsheets, socks, and other personal care items at the Original Doughboy’s Pizza and Family Restaurant in Wind Gap on Saturday, Dec. 16th at noon.
Care Net is a Lehighton-based pregnancy support center that provides free maternity care and assistance to women facing unplanned pregnancies. We will be receiving baby items and household supplies at a holiday reception at the Batter’s Box in Summit Hill on Monday, Dec. 18th from 6-8 PM.
All these holiday receptions are free and open to the public. We simply ask that you bring an item or gift card to donate to the charity as your admission ticket. Details about the receptions and items are available here. We’ll provide more information as we get closer on the events page of the campaign website, including drop-box locations for donated items if you can’t attend the events.
