Dellicker Statement on Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine
I unequivocally condemn Vladimir Putin’s invasion and stand with the free people of Ukraine. This is no time for moral ambiguity, and we need to do more than just send a message. The United States and its allies must respond with strong countermeasures that degrade Russia’s ability to conduct ongoing military operations and punish the Russian government for its deadly decision. We have many tools of American power besides sending American troops to Ukraine. We must apply them swiftly and effectively to ensure that Putin and his allies pay an unacceptable price for their attack against a free and sovereign nation.
