Kevin Dellicker for U.S. Congress

GERMANSVILLE, PA – Kevin Dellicker, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in PA’s 7th Congressional District, today challenged Lisa Scheller, the other declared Republican candidate in the race, to a series of at least six debates leading up to the primary election.

“The people of Pennsylvania’s 7^th District have a choice in the Republican primary,” said Dellicker. “They deserve to hear from the candidates early and often, in-person and online.”

Dellicker proposed the following framework, with dates and locations to be determined by mutual agreement with the Scheller campaign:

• At least one in Lehigh County
• At least one in Northampton County
• At one in Monroe, Carbon or Berks counties, depending on the final boundaries. If multiple counties are included, Dellicker proposes adding debates to have at least one per county.
• At least one online

Dellicker suggested the debates occur March through early May, pending the finalization of the new congressional maps. At least three should be televised: Business Matters (WFMZ-69), Lehigh Valley PBS (WLVT-39), and Blue Ridge Cable TV (BRC13).

Any additional candidates that file petitions to run in the 7^th Congressional District are also welcome to participate, Dellicker said.

The Kevin Dellicker for Congress campaign delivered a letter (Dear Lisa Scheller) to the Scheller for Congress campaign today, requesting a response by February 3rd. An announcement about the first debate, proposed for the week of March 14, is forthcoming, pending the Scheller campaign’s reply.
