The CHIPS Act Isn’t So Chipper

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Yesterday, Susan Wild sent out a congressional bulletin touting the CHIPS and Science Act, which is Joe Biden’s $280 billion program to boost the American semiconductor industry. Yet like so many of her big-government, big-spending plans, Susan Wild’s latest efforts aren’t quite working out as planned.

Susan Wild claims that the CHIPS Act has spurred $300 million in semiconductor and electronics investments in Pennsylvania.

But none of those investments are in our district.

Susan Wild claims that the CHIPS Act has encouraged $231 billion in private semiconductor investments across the country.

None of those investments are in our district either.

Susan Wild identified a single local project derived from the $280 billion of taxpayer funding. She claims the CHIPS Act incentivized Swiss manufacturing company ABB to create skilled manufacturing jobs for people in our community.

But those aren’t manufacturing jobs and they aren’t in a state-of-the-art factory. They are warehouse jobs in ABB’s new warehouse in Palmer Township, Northampton County.

ABB’s new state-of-the-art factory opened last year…in China.

Susan Wild’s $280 billion CHIPS and Science Act – which costs $1,700 per taxpayer – is subsidizing a local warehouse.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Inauthentic. Ineffective. Out-of-touch.

This is how career politicians act. The people of our district deserve better.

I’m a husband and father who has lived in the Lehigh Valley for 35 years, a 28-year veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and the founder of a successful technology company. In Congress, I’ll work to create real high-tech jobs right here in the Lehigh Valley, without wasting your money.

Keep America Free!

Thank you,
