Candidate Petitions Start Today
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Twenty-two. That’s how old I was when I graduated from college. It’s the route number of the busiest highway in the Lehigh Valley. And it’s the title of a song by Taylor Swift. It’s also the number of days my campaign has to gather enough signatures to get me on the ballot.
For the next three weeks, more than 100 volunteers will be helping me collect 1,000 signatures from registered Republicans in PA’s 7th District. It’s humbling to have that kind of help, and it’s a ton of work. But it’s also one of the best parts about running for Congress. I get to meet hundreds of new people face-to-face from all parts of Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, and Northampton counties.
During the next 22 days, I’ll be in dozens of places to gather signatures and talk with voters. The first week’s activities are listed below under “Upcoming Events.” I’ll meet firefighters, police, and veterans. I’ll visit schools, churches, and sportsman’s clubs. And I’ll be knocking on doors in all four counties.
My campaign is a big tent, and there’s room for people with all kinds of backgrounds. It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, rural or urban, rich or poor. If you love your country and your neighbor, if you want safe communities, good jobs, and strong families, if you respect the U.S. Constitution and value your freedoms, there’s a place for you in my campaign.
I’m offering authentic, conservative, and effective leadership that’s in touch with local voters. That’s in contrast to Susan Wild and all the other career politicians who are neither authentic, nor conservative, nor effective.
